Card making afternoon
with Sharon Williams
Recently I had a lovely afternoon making cards and a card holder with Sharon in her studio in Canberra. Sharon is a Stampin Up Demonstrator and if you scroll through her FB page, you’ll see lots of inspiration there.

Sharon and I attend the same bible study group and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her better. We often catch up as we car pool on the way to our study group. Chatting with another small business owner and creative type is a lovely blessing.
Classes/ Workshops
Sharon is now able to offer card making classes and workshops in her studio. They had some work done in the studio to improve the flooring and now that it is done I really wanted to see her creative space. We are all a little nosy about the space others have for their crafts aren’t we!
Keep an eye on Sharon’s Facebook page for new class offerings.

What we made
Our class involved a packaged kit and we made the 10 cards and the card holder/desk caddy that were included. I’ve included a few pictures of the progress of these gorgeous cards.

The kit was presented well, all the pieces were included and easy to use and construct. Many pieces were laser cut and just needed to be pushed out and then added to the card. All of the pieces were so pretty and well coordinated. There was also a small stamp pad and a set of stamps, with a clear block to use the stamps.

Here are the finished cards and the desk caddy.

Crafting variety
Whilst I usually play with fabric and thread, it is lovely to spend some time doing other crafts like card making, crochet and painting/drawing. Variety is the spice of life!
Plus I got to spend time with a friend and meet a new friend. Win win
