Holiday House Hop – Week 5

In week 5 of the Holiday house Hop we are sharing about our own Christmas designs. It was a challenge to narrow down a couple of favourites but here we go;

Christmas patterns are such fun!

Decorating the house at Christmas time is something I love to do, and there are always many ideas for new Christmas patterns floating around our heads.

Our Christmas Swag is probably one of my favourite patterns and I have chatted a bit about it in this video on YouTube

I like that these are easy designs, I love that it stores flat, an I like the easy snaps that allow me to add or vary the order of the pieces.

This pattern has the 5 original designs, plus there are 2 add-on options for you.

Christmas Swag Add-on 1 and Christmas Swag Add-on 2

We have a whole shop category for Christmas!!

Here at SSQ we do like a good Christmas pattern so we have a few to share with you. Can’t pick a favourite, but we do have a whole category in our shop for Christmas designs, you can find that here.

Some other Christmas favourites…

I have made a ton of these, Reusable Gift bags, I give a set of them as gifts, I have a whole range of them for use under our tree, I have not bought paper for many years, and I like it this way. I make them in other fabric also so that they are suitable for almost any occasion. After we used the Reusable Gift Bags for a year or so we added the Name Tags pattern. These simply slip onto the ribbon and are also able to be reused year after year. I’ve made a couple for each of our family.

This Christmas Table Topper is a great size for a centre-piece for your table, over the top of another cloth as added colour, or to brighten your coffee table. It is Charm pack friendly and has fun embroidery panels to add to the Christmas theme. The range we used had some candy stipe which was perfect for the binding.

A bit extra…

Here is our family’s favourite Christmas recipe, well perhaps it’s just mine, and what songs really puts me in the Christmas mood.

Fudge – almost as good as milk chocolate. This recipe is easy and doesn’t take long, doesn’t last overly long either… Check out the recipe we use HERE.

A couple of songs I love at Christmas time.

Joseph’s song. I always think of Joseph and how he felt at the amazing events of the first Christmas. This song is by Michael Card

Mary, Did you know? I love this version by Dylan Scott, but also the version done by Pentatonix.
