Quilting Round Up #1

It’s been a busier year so far than I expected and a machine issue has meant a delay to the start of the client work. Here is the quilting round up #1 for January.
I usually take January off and work on my own projects, which I have done but I have also done some quilting.

Roz’s quilt

  • Roz’quilt was quilted in Rasant Charcoal thread
  • We opted for a loose loopy design to emulate the circles in the print this was done freehand
  • The backing is a batik
  • Do you see the colourful diamonds or the spotty stars first?

Green HST Baby Quilt

  • Apple green thread used to match the green solid fabric
  • Swirls in varying sizes on the solid green creates a great texture
  • Wavy lines on the coloured prints is functional but does not take over
  • Binding is completed by machine and is great for a baby quilt, throw that in the washing machine when needed

See you for Quilting Round Up #2 soon
