SSQ Stitch Out #2

Welcome to the 2nd Stitch Out!

We’ve hosted our Stitch-In for quite a few years now, a lovely afternoon where we can chat and create together, accompanied by some afternoon tea.

Now let’s go explore a few shops and maybe add to the fabric available in our stash that we can pull from for the next project. The fun of a field trip with no report due in afterwards, just plenty of chatting and friendship on the bus during the day together.

This Stitch-Out event is a longer day as we are venturing further afield. We will have time to stop and enjoy some morning tea, and lunch during the course of the day. We will be covering around 400km over the day. We will visit 4 shops, in Mittagong and Berrima.

Departing Sunflower Stitcheries and Quilting at 8am. The aim is that we are returned to SSQ home base by 5-6pm.  This may be earlier, or slightly later, depending on our shopping and lunch timings.

THE PLAN: 8am- leave SSQ home base, morning tea in Mittagong 10.30am,  visit Thread Botanica, Victoria House Needlecraft, then we head to Berrima Patchwork, the lolly shop if we have time and desire and then relax on the trip back to SSQ base.

There is only one shotgun seat so if travel causes some internal disturbance, we will need to be mindful of where you sit and some rotation may be required to allow all to enjoy the day. There will be no shame to losing your cookies, but we’d love for that not to happen!

Cost has been calculated to cover petrol and vehicle insurance.

Each attendee is responsible for their own meals, drinks and craft based purchases. If the vehicle is full then the cost reduces for each person. We will be able to refund the extra for each attendee.
