January Prep Day and February Stitch In

January Sew Day

• Kate finished her quilt top A Side of Hearts
• Susan was working on her quilt top, same design, slightly different fabrics
• Nicole was ripping some denim for a new upcycling project

• Tara, I think, was cutting many pieces for a new project

• Progress pics of Kate’s cross stitch, it’s a weekly SAL and the design will be slowly filled over the year

• I layed out the blocks from the Alison Glass SAL I did in 2019.

We have our long days at a room we borrow from Solid Rock Ministry. It has a fabulous table that we can set up on and room to set up cutting tables and ironing boards etc.

Tea and coffee and light snacks are provided and there are shops nearby to purchase some lunch or we can BYO.

February Stitch In

Our regular monthly events are held at my home and I enjoy being able to use my lovely crockery and set the table pretty. Here’s some highlights of February.

• Sharon’s quilt I think, a long term project and we talked quilting ideas
• Nicole working on some small diamond art

• Sharon working on some sashiko panels
• Ellen with a new embroidery kit, look at the satin stitch
• Amanda making art with paint pens

• crochet and I am trying to remember who this was, must look at the book
• Dani was marking/finishing buttons and holes
• Rest time, I swear I do not hold a whip to them

We hope you might see some inspiration with the pictures and can join us one day for Stitch In.

Tickets can be bought individually for each event, or you can purchase a yearly Stitch In ticket

As usual, come when you can and leave when you need to.

Stitch In online

Last year we began to meet online, and this was well recieved. We each enjoy being in our own space and can expand our group to include those who are not nearby but we know and love.

Stitch In online is a Wednesday evening 7.30-9pm AEDT or AEST depending on the season. You are welcome to join us from anywhere.

We use Google Meet for this event. There are links in the Facebook events or you can message us and we will send you the link.
