Detached Chain Stitch (Lazy Daisy)

Detached Chain Stitch is done by making a single chain stitch (photos 1) and stitch over the loop with a small straight stitch to secure the end of the loop (photo 2).

Stitching these in a circle creates a flower, like a daisy.
