February – 2021 Monthly Colour Challenge
February in the 2021 Monthly Colour Challenge and the colour for this month is Lemon. I also have a lemon recipe recommendation for you.
My February Block
I have a consistent background for my blocks, I’m using a dark charcoal grey and I had enough of the bright yellow for this block. Raiding the stash and scraps for this project.
What is the 2021 Monthly Color Challenge
The Monthly Color Challenge will begin it’s fourth year January 1st, and I am excited to join in the 2021 Monthly Color Challenge. This year we’re getting our colour inspiration from Fruits and Veggies.
Each month there is a change in colour and a new block. You can see all the colours to come this year at this post on Jen’s blog. Jen also shares all the info on what you need and you can choose to sign up to receive the block sent straight to your inbox.
My Tip to you
Trim your HST carefully and as accurately as possible. There are various tools for this, I use a square ruler that has a diagonal line which I align with the centre seam. Take your time, there are only 16 HST for this block.
Recipe suggestion
My family thoroughly enjoys homemade Lemon curd. This is actually easy to make and keeps in the fridge. Perfect on toast or add to some small pastry cases for lemon curd tarts.
