Hello Harlequin Heart
A pattern that has been on the drawing board for a while took a turn when we were all advised to stay home during March and April 2020. Keeping everyone safe was the goal.
So fabric shopping became… non essential travel.
I wanted to make a pattern that used fabric stash or upcycled fabric and so I made this really fast and easy design using simple blocks and fusible raw edge applique. Seriously it took me a few hours to sew together, the fabric cutting took longer.
I did make another version with larger squares that is almost completely up-cycled. Hubby was clearing out his wardrobe and some shirts we past their usable stage so I nabbed them and cut them into squares for a super soft quilt made from men’s shirting fabric. White, dark blue and chambray shirts, add some bright yellow and a quilt top is done.
So you can now start on your own version, and use up your stash or up-cycle some cool fabric finds.
