Welcome to ufovember

Back for the 2nd year, UFOvember is a blog hop and social media event to celebrate our UnFinished Objects. As crafters, many of us are great at starting projects. But, for a variety of reasons, we’re not so great at finishing them.

ufovember-2021

With the pandemic continuing to put pressure on our crafty budgets, time, and energy, this is the perfect time to dust off those UFOs and help them back on their journey to completion (and potentially fast track some holiday gifting!).

UFOvember bloggers will share from 4 angles:

Review your UFOs – A combination of inventory, confession, and therapy. What are your UFOs and why did you fall out of love with them?
Resume –
Pick up a UFO right where you left off, get it done, happy ending!
Rework –
Make a plan B for your UFO. Over-dye, slice and dice, repurpose into a different project.
Rehome –
Your emotional trash can be someone else’s treasure. Swap, donate, give away. Tales of finishing someone else’s UFOs.

Why are we all sharing?

This is a great way to hear about the tips, trick and reasoning that others will share for why they are keeping a UFO, reworking a UFO or even rehoming a UFO. Maybe you will find you are quite similar.

I love hearing about the projects others have started and maybe they have fallen out of love with them, the kids have grown out of it, they can no longer get the fabric to match. The inquisitive part of me wonders what they are planning to do with them. If you are like me then follow the links above on the days of November and find out as well.

Then, search through your cupboards and see what WIPs/UFOs you have and then I encourage you to join us in our Finish Along that runs each year.
